Brody started his journey at Obsidian Ink, driven by a lifelong love of drawing and a need to make things that didn't exist yet. His work is realistic and bold — a sharp eye for likeness, a particular strength in portraits, and an appreciation for the drama that high contrast black and grey can carry.

His influences reach beyond tattooing into renaissance art and dark fantasy, gothic and Victorian architecture, and music — especially when it comes to the emotional weight a portrait needs to land. He came up exploring a range of styles before finding his footing in realism, and that early range shows in the confidence and variety of his compositions today.

Outside the studio he draws from the same places that have always fed great dark art — the grandeur of gothic architecture, the technical mastery of renaissance painters, and the atmosphere of dark fantasy. All of it finds its way into the work.
